Just to clarify, the membership we are asking for here simply means being a part of this very informal friends group made up of people who are passionate about this project and willing to help get the word out to family, friends, neighbors and whoever; not only for awareness, but also to encourage involvement.
No signatures or lifetime commitments necessary, just a list of volunteer member names and emails so we can communicate needs, thank you’s, updates, etc. Some may wish to participate further by volunteering for other tasks as the need arises.
We are grateful for all the involvement last year, writing letters, signing petition, helping to get those signatures, taking the Parks Dept survey, attending meetings, speaking at those meetings and in all the other ways.
The first hurdle is over, the final master plan includes keeping the Ice and Hockey Rinks as well as the Parker Building, where they are. Let’s take it to the next level.
