🌲🚜 ANOTHER DAY OF HARD WORK, HEAVY EQUIPMENT, AND GETTING THINGS DONE! 💪🔥

The 2026 camping season might be winding down, but the work sure isn't! 🤣😂

Today was all about tackling more of the fall cleanup here at the campground!

🌳 Working up in the trees with the 60-foot boom lift, cutting back limbs and clearing out branches.

🚜 Hauling away piles of brush and debris, putting the equipment to work, and getting things cleaned up before winter settles in.

There's a whole lot more that goes into maintaining a campground with over 600 sites than most people ever get to see!

And while the campers are heading home and things are getting quieter, we're still out here putting in the work to make sure everything is taken care of.

With my time here in Wisconsin quickly coming to an end, I'm making the most of these final days before the next adventure begins! 🚛☀️

One thing I've learned over the years: The work doesn't always get easier, but having the right equipment sure makes a difference! 😎

🚜⚡🦅 BROKEN EQUIPMENT, LIGHTNING-STRUCK TREES & BALD EAGLES! JUST ANOTHER DAY IN WISCONSIN! 🔥

Today was one of those days that reminds me why I love this workamping lifestyle!

🔧 First up, equipment repairs! Helped troubleshoot and repair our lift, digging into wiring and electrical connections. Then it was time to test it out and get up among the treetops! 🌲

⚡ Next, a pretty awesome find! Got my hands on some wood from lightning-struck trees! The natural markings and discoloration are incredible, and I've got some BIG plans for turning this wood into unique creations through Custom Designs by Kauffman! 🪵🔥

🦅 And Mother Nature delivered! Spotted a couple of bald eagles soaring overhead against a beautiful blue Wisconsin sky. Not a bad view for a day's work! 😎

With my Wisconsin workamping season almost over, I'm soaking up every adventure before heading south.

One thing's for sure, there's NEVER a dull moment around here! 🤣

🍂 ANOTHER PIECE OF THE 2026 SEASON IS OFFICIALLY IN THE BOOKS! 🍂

One by one, the signs of summer are disappearing around the campground!

Today's project was taking down all the signs for the year. From the activities and attractions to the directional signs that helped everyone find their way around, they're all coming down and getting put away until next season.

It's funny how something as simple as taking down signs can really put things into perspective.

Not that long ago, this place was packed with campers, families, kids running around, and people making memories. Now, every day brings us another step closer to having the entire campground tucked away for winter.

And let me tell you, there's a LOT more that goes into shutting down a campground with over 600 sites than most people probably realize! 😂

It's been one heck of a season. Long days, hard work, unexpected challenges, plenty of laughs, and experiences I wouldn't trade for anything.

But we're not finished just yet! There's still work to be done before I point the truck south and begin the next chapter of this adventure. 😎🚛

That's the beauty of this lifestyle. One adventure winds down, and another one is waiting just around the corner.

It's October 10th, and Mother Nature apparently decided we're not quite finished with summer yet!

Days like today are exactly why I love this lifestyle. Beautiful weather, fresh air, and another day spent doing what I do.

I'm on security duty at the campground today, but with the season winding down and mostly seasonal campers left, things are finally slowing down. After some of the crazy weekends we've had this year, I'm certainly not complaining about a little peace and quiet! 🤣

Before long, Wisconsin will be covered in snow, and I'll be trading these northern fall days for a whole new adventure down south. But for now, I'm going to enjoy every bit of this beautiful weather!

🍂🔥 **ONE BY ONE, THE LIGHTS ARE GOING OUT ON ANOTHER CAMPING SEASON.** 🔥🍂

It's funny how quickly a place can change.

A few months ago, we were getting everything ready for another busy summer. Setting things up, preparing for events, getting the campground ready for hundreds of families to come make memories.

Now?

**We're taking it all back down.**

Today's adventures included taking down and putting away the movie screens, including the outdoor screen that Mother Nature apparently decided to help dismantle with a little wind. 🤣💨

Then it was on to the back pavilion.

Securing the flaps, closing everything up, and getting another piece of the campground ready for the long Wisconsin winter.

It's not exactly glamorous work.

No big crowds. No music. No movies playing. No kids running around enjoying the activities.

Just tools, ladders, equipment, and the sound of another season slowly coming to a close.

But here's something I've learned over the years...

**Everybody sees the finished product. Not everybody sees what it takes to make it happen.**

They see the events, the entertainment, the activities, and the memories.

They don't always see the hundreds of hours spent setting everything up, maintaining it, repairing it, cleaning it, and eventually putting it all away again.

**That's the work behind the experience.**

And I'm proud to have been part of it.

This season has been one hell of a ride. Maintenance, construction, security, bartending, emergencies, long days, late nights, and just about everything imaginable in between. 😂

And now, with each building secured and each piece of equipment put away, I'm getting closer to closing out my own chapter here in Wisconsin.

**Because while this campground is getting ready to shut down for winter...**

**I'm getting ready to start something entirely new.** 😎🔥

New roads. New challenges. New opportunities.

And another chance to put everything I've learned over the years to work.

But until that day comes, there's still a job to finish here.

**I helped get this place ready for the season.**

**And I'll help put it to bed when it's over.**

That's just how I operate. 👊
