Painting my dad’s birthday present and contemplating my first of many community projects. 🍀
I’ve spent many years thinking about what communities need and taking time to just sit back and watch people interact. Seeing how small businesses run, how people treat them, what communities need other than just more policies and procedures.
We spend so much time thinking and planning and there are just some things we need to start doing. Get out and host some community swaps, get HUGE potlucks together at the local parks and then host a quick cleanup of the area so when you leave, it’s better than how you found it.
That’s my goal for this year, to start leaving better footprints. I want the legacy that I leave to be one of abundance and kindness and helping each other so that we don’t keep falling down so much. I really want to share a lot right now, but I’m still finalizing a lot of details so I can’t really talk about much. Just know, I haven’t been online because I finally decided to get back to who I am. I know I don’t share that part of me much but I’m gonna try this year.
Go help your communities. They need you. 🍀

🌳 Lifestyle: the way in which a person or group lives.
Your life is the way you choose to live it, even when you’re in the worst conditions of your life. In every point in my life, I had someone around me reminding me to care for my spaces and the way I honor my life. Keeping my space clean, choosing to eat healthier, and giving my body the things it needs is a practice that you have to nourish regularly.
You will NOT be perfect at it immediately and you’re probably gonna struggle for a while. Switching to shopping local and eating healthy takes a while to learn how. You’ll get frustrated and have days / weeks where you just don’t care. You’ll eat fast food and even when you eat healthy, you might still occasionally indulge.
Your house is not going to get clean and stay clean without regular upkeep, and yeah, you’re gonna get fed up with it. There will be days / weeks where you let the laundry go or you accidentally let a plant die. Creating daily upkeep habits takes daily effort on your part. One small thing, one small task, just keep going and don’t give up.
Your lifestyle is how you treat the life you live including how you treat yourself and others. Give yourself kindness and watch it flow out, give yourself love and watch it flow out. Same with health and happiness. You eat healthy, you help your friends eat healthy. You’re happy, you help others be happy. Go nourish your life and create a lifestyle instead.
Also weird fact: the restaurant these were taken at closed in October of 2023 due to accumulated debt they hadn’t paid back / failed to make payments on. Sadly, the food was honestly bangin and it would be nice to have programs for good businesses with bad financial management. Some people can have great business ideas but not be great with money, and as communities we should work together to preserve the places that deserve a little hand to get their sh** together, ya know?

The love I have for Dani is immeasurable. Meeting soft people has changed my life so much and I don’t know what I would do without you. No matter what, you always make sure to take care of the people around you, even if it makes you a little uncomfortable socially. I love that about you. I love that you don’t let uncomfortability stop you from…anything. You’ve done so much, and you show me time and time again no matter how much I don’t think I’m pretty, anyone and everyone can be captured beautifully because everyone has their own beautiful, you just have to find it. You have to find you. You do that with so many people and I’m so thankful for you. I big love you and yes I’m crying 🥹
