Every dancer’s journey looks a little different.
Some children are taking their very first class, while others may join us with years of experience. We consider age, experience, skill level, and confidence to help find the right place for your child to begin.
From those first steps to becoming a confident,
capable dancer, we’re here for every stage of their journey💚

✨ Meet Miss Beth ✨
Beth brings decades of dance training, teaching, and studio experience to our faculty! She grew up dancing at The Bolton Dance Academy in Glens Falls, NY, before earning her B.A. in Dance with honors from Dean College. She went on to teach at several local studios before establishing Eleve Danse Centre in 2004, where she spent more than two decades building a strong community and second home for dancers, families, and faculty.
One of our favorite full-circle connections? Beth actually taught Matt and Mary Elizabeth when they were students at Dean! 🩰✨
Beth is passionate about creating a welcoming dance community where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to grow. Her years of experience as a teacher, mentor, and studio owner bring a wonderful depth of knowledge and perspective to our dancers.
We’re so grateful to have Beth sharing her experience and love of dance with our MEM community! 💕

What does a first dance class actually look like? 🩰✨
A little stretching. A lot of imagination. Some hopping, twirling, jumping, learning, and LOTS of fun along the way. 💕
Our Creative Movement & Pre-Ballet, Tap, and Tumbe classes give little dancers the chance to explore movement, discover ballet basics, build confidence, and learn how to be part of a class—all in a playful, nurturing environment.
Because the goal of that very first class isn't perfect steps.
It's hearing, “Can we come back next week?” 🥹🩰

This inclusive and joyful dance class is designed for dancers of all abilities, including neurodivergent dancers and dancers with physical, developmental, or other disabilities.
Through creative movement and dance, students will build coordination, body awareness, self-expression, confidence, and teamwork. Activities are adapted to meet each dancer where they are, allowing everyone to participate, connect, and experience the joy of movement. All abilities and experience levels are welcome!💚

A little bit of everything they love! 🩰✨

Ballet, tap, tumbling, music, and plenty of fun come together in this playful introduction to dance. It’s a chance for children to try different ways of moving, learn new skills, and begin getting comfortable in the dance studio—all at their own pace.

For some dancers, this may be their very first dance class, while others are ready to try something new. Either way, it’s a fun place to start!

And when it’s time to take the stage, these dancers will perform a tap dance in the Experience MEM Dance Theatre performance. 💕🎭

Their first dance class starts here! 🩰✨
There’s something so special about watching a little one discover dance for the very first time. Our Creative Movement classes give young dancers space to explore, imagine, move, and have fun while building confidence and a love for dance.
Through playful activities, music, and movement, dancers begin to discover what it means to express themselves through dance—all while enjoying the magic of being part of a class.
We can’t wait to welcome our littlest dancers into the MEM Dance Theatre family!
