When the arena lights go dark and another rodeo season comes to an end, life on the ranch continues. The horses trade the roar of the crowd for quiet mornings, open pastures, and a well-earned change of pace. It’s a time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the wide-open spaces before preparations for another season begin.

The rodeo may be seasonal, but the care, dedication, and connection between our horses and their people never stop.

The season may be over, but we’re still hanging on to moments like this.

Meet Camryn - Steamboat Springs-born and raised, and ranch-grown. After spending her childhood summers in the Romick Rodeo Arena, she worked her way up from taking tickets at the front gate to becoming the rodeo’s Jill of all trades, from running flags to driving tractors to hauling cattle; she is always there to lend a helping hand.

Now serving as assistant rodeo administrator and working for a proud sponsor, Mountain Valley Bank, Camryn is dedicated to preserving Western tradition while elevating the rodeo experience for everyone

That’s a wrap on another incredible rodeo season!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who makes the Steamboat Pro Rodeo possible. What looks like a few hours of action in the arena takes an entire community working behind the scenes.

From our gate staff, security, rodeo crews, flag girls, bullfighters, pickup men, announcer, timers, ticketing and concessions teams to our grounds crew, photographers, volunteers, police, EMTs, Board of Directors, sponsors, contestants, vendors, and community partners — we couldn’t do it without you!

And most importantly, thank YOU, our fans. Every ticket, cheer, shared photo, and summer tradition helps keep professional rodeo alive in Steamboat Springs.

It truly takes a village to put on a rodeo. Until next summer… we’ll see you at the rodeo!
