At just 4in x 11in x 4in, this ceramic stoneware sculpture by Julie Anderson doesn’t physically take up a lot of space, but it makes a big impact.

Titled ‘Drowning in a Sea of My Own Thoughts,’ the piece evokes the rhythm of a tide — rising, swirling, and gradually easing back. Though fixed in form, the sculpture serves as a poetic metaphor for the ways life can surge and churn before eventually settling into stillness.

Rare Light Blue Golden Hills turquoise from Kazakhstan is paired with deep teal Morrocan silk knots and accented with rose gold chain, teal copper enamel headpin, and oxidized Sterling silver. The earwires are rose gold-filled.

It’s the First Friday Artwalk tonight!

Stop by from 5pm - 8pm to chat with some of the artists and view the new all gallery exhibition ‘Wild Within’.

Wild Within brings together a rich and varied body of work all connected by an attentiveness to the natural world and the creative energy that lives beneath its surface. Some works evoke the quiet structure of a landscape, while others move into more abstract expressions of instinct, movement and transformation. Together the pieces create a contemplative and expansive exhibition.

‘Reflections’, an acrylic and gouache painting on canvas by Attila Feszt, depicts a Greenback Cutthroat Trout swimming just beneath the water’s surface. This striking composition beautifully captures the reflections above the fish, offering a unique perspective while showcasing Attila’s distinctive graphic style through organic shapes and patterns.

Having grown up in the Bahamas, Attila brings a vibrant sense of color to his work. Combined with his bold graphic approach, his use of color makes each piece immediately recognizable and visually captivating.

With all the colors summer brings, nothing can compare to the warm amber, golden and earthy tones of autumn that Jennifer Baker uses in her kiln formed glass piece ‘Aspens and Cottonwoods’. Layers of color and light bring the forest scene to life, creating a sense of movement, depth, and stillness all at once.

Had so much fun exploring some designs with some Moroccan silk knots that I have had in my stash for years!
The teal earrings on the left, “Worldwide Swing” on the left incorporates Golden Hills turquoise from Kazakhstan with Sterling silver and rose gold and have a slightly sassy swing .
The golden-hued earrings are my light summer series with the beautiful intricate knots and 14 k accents with Swarovski crystals.
