Retirement Reflection;
Last night we celebrated our retirement from the entertainment industry after 24yrs!! And even though thank you speeches were made, there is still so many people we need to say thank you to that it was hard to cover last night. First, need to thank Brian Holmes and Bobby Brawner, for being a BIG influence in the beginning of my career! Couldn't have done it with out you two! Need to give a shout out to all the venues that hired us in the early years. Just too many to list. It's very rare in this industry to establish a lengthy tenure with any venue, but I need to thank Cory Walker and Family of the Scoreboard of Newton for the 15 yrs. of working together. Amazing times and memories. And as mentioned last night, and with every long running business, things change. Venues close, nature of the business, and of course the market changes. So even though the focus was on weddings the past 5yrs, want to thank Ryan Maher and Thereasa of the Green Castle Tavern in Mingo for their support. Great times with great people. And now, Like last night, there is just too many people to list who deserve a thank you for the all the years of support. Just know that I appreciate each and everyone of you very much. I won't miss the setting up and tearing down of equipment, or the long travel time to venues, arriving home at 3 or 4 in the morning.
And missing spending time with family and friends because "I had a show". Now, I can. And after seeing ALL who were at the party last night, Thank you for showing me the love and support. Love you all.
