My Aunt Ruth Ellen who incidentally lived quite near the Hopper House, not only taught me the joy of painting, but brought me to the Hopper House several times.

Inspired by a leisurely walk through a downtown Georgia square, this is an older piece of mine. The atmosphere was amazing. My daughter-in-law and I both drew inspiration from this spot and experience under the live oak canopy, with Spanish moss hanging, and the loud noises of insects and animals in the night.

Sundays often allow me a pause to reflect on the areas of my life I may improve. Ponder what one should cherish most in life, how to improve ourselves, ask oneself the hard questions and hope for the resolve to accept, be resilient, and follow a path toward good. With such unrest in our world today I shall look for peace, compassion, the ability to see my shortcomings and improve them, and the gratitude for the gifts, love, and blessings in my life.
