Mixed feelings today.
The vacant lot beside the “Pasture House” has been purchased, and they’re tearing out the vegetation. I’m for progress but I do hate seeing this little green space disappear. I’m anxious about our Great Barred owl family, I mean it’s been their habitat for years. They even played their part in the Midsummer Night’s Dream…

A wonderful day! Spent in the kitchen for a late booking out of necessity. 9 wonderful ladies filled the house with life and laughter.
Made Schnitzel again. Love getting my practice in.
Thanks Betty Vanstory Dobson and Alex Tori Gaither Cearlock for serving. Lance Bowman, for pitching in and to the footmen who donned their gardening gloves. The estate moves into another season.
