I am absolutely furious with FedEx.
On Friday afternoon, I personally handed one of my memory quilts to a Fedex employee. This wasn't a replacement part, a box of office supplies, or something that can simply be reordered. This was a handmade memory quilt containing irreplaceable memories that belonged to one of my customers.
It was supposed to be delivered on Saturday.
Instead, it was never delivered. Worse, it was never scanned into the system.
For the past several days, I have spent hours on the phone with FedEx. Representatives have struggled to even identify the facility in Statesboro, GA where I dropped off the package. I've received conflicting information, dealt with argumentative customer service, and have gotten little more than excuses and apologies.
A trouble ticket was supposedly escalated, but now I'm being told that nothing can be done because it's the weekend.
Seriously?
FedEx advertises weekend service. FedEx delivers packages on weekends. FedEx takes customers' money seven days a week. But when a package disappears after being handed directly to a FedEx employee, suddenly no one can investigate because it's the weekend?
As a small business owner, I don't get to tell my customers, "Sorry, it's the weekend." If I lose something entrusted to me, I am accountable. I answer my phone. I find solutions.
This is the first time I have trusted FedEx with one of my memory quilts.
It will probably be the last.
Right now, a package containing someone's memories appears to have vanished, and FedEx cannot even tell me where it is.
FedEx, I want answers. Where is my package, and why has it been impossible to get meaningful help finding it?
