At our Bernikow JCC Older Adult Center, photographers in our CLLD Art of Photography & Beyond class showcased their work in the exhibit, “Finding Presence in the Mundane: Stories on the Staten Island Railway.” The exhibit reflects on everyday moments along the Staten Island Railway, celebrating the storytelling and mindfulness of our talented photographers. We are proud of the work they have done and how this program provides local artists with a platform to share their work with a broader community.

The JCC of Staten Island is proud to participate in the Hostage Tag Project, an initiative by UJA-Federation of New York that will turn hostage tags into a commemorative art installation — to be designed by the artists behind the iconic “Kidnapped” posters, DEDE BANDAID and Nitzan Mintz, under the creative direction of Shlomi Rabi.

Haven’t dropped off your tag yet? There’s still time. Drop it off at the Bernikow JCC front desk, located at 1466 Manor Road, by June 26. And stay tuned for the installation reveal coming this fall.

Your hostage tag can become part of UJA’s commemorative art installation — to be designed by the artists behind the iconic “Kidnapped” posters, DEDE BANDAID and Nitzan Mintz, under the creative direction of Shlomi Rabi.

Haven’t dropped off your tag yet? There’s still time. Send in by June 26. And stay tuned for the installation reveal coming this fall.
