Men on Boats

➡️ Join us in the Drama Theatre for a comedic, subversive play that chronicles the 1869 expedition of explorer John Wesley Powell and a crew of volunteers mapping the Colorado River. This play satirizes historical male ego, manifest destiny, and American myths of conquest while reframing historical narratives! 🛶

✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHT✨

What has Judith been up to since graduation…?
✂️👗 Judith has been working at Weston Theatre as Associate Costume Manager! 👗✂️

➡️Judith is back at Weston Theatre as Associate Costume Shop Manager! So far, two shows have been opened and closed: “Ring of Fire” and “School House Rock Live!” They are currently in tech for RENT. Judith says that it has been a very fun season so far, with lots of fun costumes! Outside of work, she has been to New York to see two shows (“Death Becomes Her” and “CATS the Jellicle Ball”). She plans to see more before the summer is over!

🎭 WELCOME to A-State Theatre, JOSH! 🎭

Josh Gilpin has recently graduated with an MFA in Theatre Design from the University of Kansas in 2026. He has a BA in Film & Television from the University of Reading, England.
During his time at KU, he taught a range of theatre production classes, including Lighting & Scenic. His primary focus is in Lighting Design, but he has experience designing all aspects of theatre for a range of shows.
He received commendations from the American College Theatre Festival (ACTF) for his Lighting Design for Indecent (2024) & his Scenic Design for John Proctor is the Villain (2025).
He can’t wait to be part of the team at A-State Theatre and get to work with the next generation of theatre artists! ✨

What has Zane been up to since graduation...?

🎭🥖Zane has been touring with Missoula Children’s
Theatre this summer!🥖🎭
➡️Since Graduation, Zane has spent the summer working as a tour actor & director for Missoula Children’s Theatre (the number one children’s tour company in the US)! He has been teaching kids an adaptation of Rapunzel and playing the role of Frenchy. Zane will be continuing his tour with Missoula this Fall, putting on an adaptation of The Tortoise and the Hare.
