As many of you may already know, after nearly three decades of service, the Starkville Area Arts Council is concluding its operations as an organization. While SAAC was the parent organization of the festival, The Cotton District Arts Festival will continue with next year’s date set for April 17th, 2027!
As this chapter for SAAC comes to a close, we want to recognize the tremendous contribution the organization and the many people behind it have made to Starkville.
Over the years, the festival has grown into something that belongs to this community. Its future is secure, and the creativity, connection, and community spirit that SAAC helped cultivate will remain at the heart of the festival moving forward.
We are deeply grateful to the board members, staff, volunteers, sponsors, artists, community partners, and supporters who gave their time, talents, and belief to SAAC over nearly 30 years.
While SAAC may be coming to an end, its impact on the arts and creative spirit of Starkville will continue.
