Here’s an idea for you:
Make just one “bunny block”,
then pull out your 2.5” wide leftover strips from other projects
and add rows of borders to your “bunny block”.
Keep adding until your top is the desired size.

It would make a wonderful, happy charity quilt for someone in need. ☺️🐰

Hello everyone!
Here's a recent quilt block I created from a photo of a barn quilt I saw on Pinterest. I drafted the pattern on graph paper to figure out the piecing.
I just love how this turned out. The block will soon be quilted to turn into a small wallhanging to hang from a wreath hanger stand on our mantel.

Hopefully another pattern from Aunt Bunny has begun. Here’s how I begin the process of developing a pattern. After an idea bounces around in my head for what I want to make, I begin to sketch out how the idea might look.
Graph paper and colored pencils have gotten me this far on a Hoot Owl. I’ll hope to have a pattern in the new year. Stay tuned!

My Scottish roots had to find a way to use the test sections left from creating my original pattern. You can see changes made to the ears as the pattern evolved. I kind of like how fun this version turned out to be. It’s a sweet reminder of my experimenting and learning as I went!
For those of you in the Golden Triangle Quilter’s Guild you will see the pattern and hear about the process at our October Guild meeting.

Here are my 3 versions of the soon to be available “Aunt Bunny’s Quilt Along” free pattern. Border variations and different fabric choices all work well.
I’ll look forward to seeing what other quilters choose for their whimsical bunnies. Stay tuned!

The “bunny tracks” border and Friendship Star blocks have been added.
Now to decide on the outer border.
I’m happily discovering how well this pattern is working in most any fabric combination.🐰
(The border does lay flat, I currently can’t get down on the floor to straighten it out.☺️)

Refining the “Bunny Tracks” border. More simple piecing and cross cutting.
I’m still working slowly due to break times for knee up with a cold pack, but I’m happily working!
