Clouds are clearing the the band is setting up! Come to the football stadium at 6 pm to listen to Crooked Counsel live on the field and grab the best seat in the house for an awesome fireworks show at 9:45 with the National Anthem!

PARADE ROUTE FOR SATURDAY MORNING

For everyone coming out to the Starke Spangled Splash Parade through downtown, the parade kicks off at 9 am from the old Southside Elementary School and will proceed past all of the nursing homes in town.

The route runs from Colley Road to Laura Street, then to Church Street under the overpass by the Downtown Square. The parade will continue to Wainwright Park and then back downtown along Water Street.

We will see everyone at 9:00!

Be sure to come out to David Hurse Stadium and enjoy the amazing sounds of Crooked Counsel as they perform at 6 pm Saturday night!

Crooked Counsel is a Gainesville-based classic rock band known for high-energy renditions of classic rock hits from the 1960s and 1970s with engaging live shows.

Come out for great music, delicious BBQ by Big T’s BBQ & More Inc. and an awesome water play area before the fireworks launch at 9:45! Remember, entry to the football stadium is free, and Big T's takes cash and card.

We are watching the forecast and preparing just in case... but the show will go on!

For Saturday's Kiwanis of Starke Splash Bash, confidence is growing that there will be rain and storm impacts sometime in the PM hours, before sunset. Lightning is possible. However, I am currently cautiously optimistic that rain will stay away for the parade and fireworks.
