Howdy 2022 Logan County Fairgoers! Well, we are only a week away from the Queen Contest entry deadline (August 1st) and less than a month away from the Queen Contest itself (August 19th). We are so excited and are looking forward to showing the queen contestants off to our local fair community. Following this post is the registration forms for all of you to pass along to any potential candidates.
SPECIAL INVITATION! Sunday, August 14 at 2 PM, meet us at the Logan County Fair Building for the Country Music Jam Session and our Ice Cream Social. All proceeds from the ice cream sales will go towards gas gift cards. These cards will help our 2022-23 royalty to travel to more events over the next year to promote Logan County.
We are packed with prizes for this year's queen contest. Chubby Dailey has the queen’s spurs made and will put her initials on them following the coronation. To all those that know and love Chubby and his amazing work, these spurs are “priceless”. Also, for the Queen, the traveling chaps with our local brands showcased, are made and ready to wear and the traveling hat crown is being engraved on. It is incredibly hard to place a value on the chaps also, which are an original design and made by our own queen alumni, Andrea Meyer. The traveling hat crown is valued at $325 and the queens belt buckle is valued at $250. Also, the queen’s sash is an original design and donated by Sharlene Rodewald, a McPherson County native. Last but not least, every rodeo queen needs a leather flag boot, handmade and donated by the Terry from the North Platte Saddlery. Needless to say, with prizes like these, the 2022 Logan County Fair & Rodeo Queen is going to be one lucky lady.
We won’t just have one lucky lady at this year’s contest. The Princess in this year's contest will also walk away with a traveling tiara, a $150 engraved belt buckle and a princess sash.
Also, Logan County does not take cowgirl “skills” and horsemanship lightly. There will be special prizes from The Feed Bunk and Jay’s Western Wear for the top cowgirl in this area. How exciting is that?
So, bring your family and your friends to the contest this year. August 19, the horsemanship portion of the contest starts promptly at 10 AM and it will be immediately followed by a luncheon which is open to the public. The contest awards/ queen coronation will be on Saturday, August 20th during the rodeo.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE 2022 LOGAN COUNTY FAIR!
