Hello and good morning, friends! It’s Sunday. 🤍
Yesterday, I had an interaction with a customer that left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. My first instinct was to match the energy I was given—but God quickly reminded me that I’m not called to reflect someone else’s attitude. I’m called to reflect Him.
“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” — Proverbs 15:1
That doesn’t mean we have to accept mistreatment or live without boundaries. It means we can stand firm without becoming cruel. We can protect our peace without trying to steal someone else’s. We can respond with grace, even when grace wasn’t offered to us first.
I didn’t handle every feeling perfectly yesterday, but I’m grateful God continues to work on my heart in these difficult moments. Sometimes the greatest test of our faith isn’t how we act when everything is going well—it’s how we respond when someone is unkind.
Today, I’m choosing to release the frustration, pray for everyone involved, and move forward with a softer heart. I hope this reminds someone else today: you don’t have to match their energy. Even when you really (REALLY) want to. 🥴 Protect your peace, hold your boundaries, and let God guide your response. 🤍
