What an incredible experience for Max “Rippin” Moreland this week!

After dealing with an issue on Max’s e-bike and spending over a week trying to find answers, we were told that the bike was out of warranty and weren’t making much progress. We were waiting for Scott Howe, Cobra’s head of the E-Division, to return from vacation before getting a final answer.

On Scott’s very first day back, he immediately reached out to Amber and apologized for the confusion. After reviewing everything, he informed us that Max’s bike was in fact covered under warranty. Not only did Cobra step up to fix the bike, but Scott made it a priority to have it completed before Max’s Regional race this weekend and even arranged for it to be delivered directly to Baja Acres.

To say we were relieved would be an understatement. We were potentially looking at over $3,200 in repairs, and Scott personally took Max under his wing to make sure he had every opportunity to compete this weekend.

But what impressed us even more was what happened next.

Scott personally met Max and Grant outside the Cobra factory and gave them a private tour. They got to see how the bikes are built, learn about the manufacturing process, and even get a sneak peek at the new Cobra 85 that’s coming in the future. He went far beyond simply fixing a bike—he made people feel valued, appreciated, and special.

This level of professionalism, customer service, and genuine care is exactly why we’re proud to be Team Cobra and why we’ll continue to support Cobra for years to come.

A huge thank you to Scott Howe and everyone at Cobra for making this happen. Your actions spoke louder than words and showed exactly what kind of company Cobra is.

Now it’s time for Regionals! Max has been putting in the work, and we’re excited to see him line up this weekend.

Good luck, Max! Go show them what you’ve got! 🏁🐍💪

My name is Max “RIPPIN” Moreland… and yes, RIPPIN is really my middle name. 😎

My parents say they knew I was going to rip on dirt bikes before I was even born.

I was born into motocross with a legend as a dad — Grant Moreland. One of the most humble riders you’ll ever meet. After hanging up his boots, my dad and mom built an amazing motocross race series that has become one of the best places for 50cc racing.

Now I’m 8 years old and chasing a dream… making another run at the Loretta Lynn’s Championship. Last year didn’t go exactly as planned with some tough crashes during Regionals, but I still made it to Loretta’s as an alternate. Even better, I finished 9th at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in my FIRST year there! That experience lit an even bigger fire inside me.

This year the road will be even tougher, but I’m all in. 💪🏁

When I’m not riding, I’m usually hanging out with my two golden retrievers, Mila and Cooper. They mean the world to me. I also love gaming, even though my parents keep my screen time pretty limited 😂

I’m super competitive and still learning how to channel it the right way, but I’ve got a huge heart and love this sport more than anything.

None of this would be possible without my parents, my family, friends, sponsors, and everyone who supports me on this journey.

Let’s keep ripping. 🇺🇸🔥

We wouldn’t be doing ourselves—or anyone who follows Max Rippin—any justice if we said today was a good day.

It was tough. Like, really tough.

Out of 6 motos, Max crashed in 5 of them… and not just once—at least twice per moto. New track, new conditions, and sand that he’s just not used to. Today humbled him in every way possible.

Fall after fall after fall… it honestly felt never-ending. And one of those crashes was the worst we’ve ever seen him take.

To top it off, we forgot his moto vest, which definitely got in his head too. It just wasn’t our day.

By the last moto, Max was in tears. Completely defeated. He didn’t even want to line up—he wanted to be done. And honestly, after the day he had, you couldn’t blame him.

But we told him to dig deep. Finish what you started. Don’t quit.

And he did.

He went out there, gave it everything he had left, and pushed through. No crashes.

Not every race ends with great results… but the lessons learned today? Priceless. The grit, the perseverance, the mental strength—that’s what matters.

We’ll take this, learn from it, and come back stronger. Always.

Max walked out today wearing a hoodie—no idea at first about the story behind it.

This hoodie belonged to Grant from District 14 back in 1996. As we started sharing the history and what it meant, you could see it hit him. The weight of it. The legacy. The connection to something bigger than just a piece of gear.

By the end of the conversation, Max was getting emotional—It’s moments like this that remind you how deep this sport runs. It’s not just about racing… it’s about the people, the memories, and the generations that carry it forward.

Made a last-minute trip to Lake Sugar Tree with the bare minimum—truck, trailer, cots, and a cooler—and gave it everything we had.

The sr bike showed us we’ve got work to do, but the E-bike came through when it counted. Even with tough starts, Max pulled it together and we were able to squeeze into regionals!

Huge thank you to my dad for making the long drive and sleeping in the truck just to get us there. And we’re incredibly grateful for all of our sponsors—none of this would be possible without you.

Top 9 finish and one step closer to Loretta Lynn’s. Time to keep working 🙌

Also Gary Goerbig Jr. for fixing the Sr the same day we had to leave for the event. Best mechanic hands down!
