✨It is that time again✨Classroom wishlist✨

Summer break flew by and students will be walking the halls of Resurrection Catholic School all too soon. This is my 2nd year in Catholic education and I will teaching 9th, 11th & 12th grade Theology classes along with art. My goal is to have service projects within the theology classes—making prayer quilts for the sick, art for veterans, rosaries for upcoming 1st communion candidates, etc.
ANY help you can give, I would greatly appreciate it! Please continue to pray for all teachers and students for a safe year filled with many exciting opportunities for learning!

✨✝️GOD + ART = LOVE ✝️✨

It has been a while since I last shared the creative endeavors of our students at RCS. We have been engaged in various projects, and my personal favorite was the bottle bird activity. Here, students utilized plaster gauze and a glass Coke bottle to create a bird. Additionally, we had a fun twist on masks—the students crafted masks from toilet paper and glue, incorporating elements from at least three cultures and their mask-making traditions. Lastly, the thumbprint scriptures provide a unique presentation of the students' favorite Bible verse or spiritual quote. God has blessed these students with many talents, including visual design.

Friday foto dump—

Dual Credit Art Appreciation class traded note taking pens for art making tools. They are so excited to begin their Artist’s Paper Recreation artwork.

We had an amazing Veteran’s Day Program, all of the students gathered to honor our Vets. The RCS choir once again sang gloriously!

And lastly, near and dear to my heart, the DDG 68’s holiday will have a little more cheer during their deployment this season. The students rallied together to make it a school wide campaign. NHS came in clutch with mints, cards, playing cards and activity books for the sailors to enjoy this holiday season. In addition, the Religion & Art classes wrote cards for every sailor on the ship.

So proud of our Eagles!

October has been busy with teaching 2 of my most favorite things. I only had to wait 26 years to teach them!

Rosaries and Dia de Los Mu***os. The kids loved this art unit on Spirutality & Culture! The ofrenda was such a special touch!

HOLY PAINTBRUSHES!!! We got our first donor- THANK YOU Fr Tony Russo! I appreciate the love you generously gave for my art students! Because it is a match program, donors choose matched his $25 donation!!! 💰😮

HERE WE GO…. The first day of school kicking off my 26th year in education. This is a new beginning at RCS. I am beyond blessed to be part of this amazing school family!

Last after school meeting was quite special for me and Robin Pate. Our sweet SMHS family gave us a heartwarming farewell today. It is surreal that I am at the end of this adventure. I waited so long for this moment and now that is here, it is going so fast! Thank you SMHS for the great memories!
