📣 St. Louis artists, don’t forget: applications for our two current opportunities close May 17!

Resident Teaching Artists (RTAs) lead our ArtReach in-school programs and teen studio programs at the Museum—LEAP Middle School Initiative and New Art in the Neighborhood. RTAs meet regularly for skill sharing and professional development, and help organize exhibitions of student work twice a year.

Through the Teen Museum Studies (TMS) program, a St. Louis-based artist collaborates with a cohort of high school students to organize an exhibition in CAM’s Education Galleries in spring 2027. Students gain hands-on experience in museum careers, collaboration, and critical thinking—and you get to help shape that.

✨ What an incredible night! We are so grateful for the bright burst of support at Spark, our 2026 gala. The many generous sponsors, patrons, donors, paddle raisers, and attendees helped raise over 🌟$415,000🌟 for CAM ensuring that access to art remains free for all! Every shining point of light in CAM’s universe showed up and our sky is so much brighter for it.

A special thank you to our gala chairs, honorary chairs, and gala committee who helped make this extraordinary night such a success. This night commemorated the ways art serves as a beacon of creativity, imagination, and possibility across the St. Louis region—it truly ignited a spark that will glow for years to come. Thank you! ✨

“What can writing and artmaking do in the face of structural violence? Quite a bit, it seems, as this collaboration between the museum’s chief curator, Dean Daderko, and writer and oral historian Svetlana Kitto reveals. In Daderko and Kitto’s hands, the show centres not just the artistic and romantic partnership between Cahun and Moore – including photos of their shared life in Paris and Jersey alongside photo-collages they made together – but also their anti-fascist activism in Jersey during the island’s N**i occupation.”

Thank you to Annette LePique and for writing this thoughtful review—Cahun and Moore’s story is as inspiring as ever, and we’re honored to bring it to new audiences. Their brave, boundary-defying partnership still resonates and has so much more left to tell.

“And I Saw New Heavens and a New Earth: The Partnership, Art, and Activism of Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore” is on view through August 9.

We are so delighted to see the extraordinary Emily Rauh Pulitzer celebrated in .

Emmy has been a champion for arts organizations in St. Louis for decades and CAM would simply not be what it is today without her vision, generosity, and commitment. What made this profile so special wasn’t just the facts of a remarkable life and career, but the chance to hear her voice. Her sharp wit and warmth. To understand her not only as a curator, collector, and patron, but as a person.

That is a rare and wonderful thing.

Congratulations to Emmy, and thank you for sharing so much of yourself with all of us. What a treat!
