Our two new gradient thread packs are here: Zodiac and Garden Party!

🌙 Zodiac moves through deep olive and antique gold, glowing amber, w**e red, dark plum, midnight violet and inky blue...a rich, moody palette inspired by the night sky.

🌸 Garden Party is a lighter companion to Zodiac, with dusty golden tones, soft coral and rose, muted purples, blues and greens with a softer feel.

Both palettes flow in a continuous circle, with twelve distinct colors each that transition naturally into the next. Use them together as a gradient or choose individual shades for your favorite patterns.

Each set includes 12 full skeins of our six-strand hand dyed cotton embroidery thread, approximately 8 yards per skein.

Check out Tina’s spin on House Rules by Primrose Cottage Stitches! This might be our first conversion of…our own thread colors. 🤭 The original was charted with Colour and Cotton threads and a few DMC colors, but Tina wanted to soften the palette just a bit.

She stitched it on 25 ct Vintage Country Mocha with one strand of floss over one fabric thread, making it adorably petite at about 2.25" x 11" in size.

We still have small quantities of the limited edition threads available in the shop, so let us know if you’d like us to pull a set for you. If you are stitching over two, you'll likely need a second skein of some colors.

Fabric Friday: Prepare yourselves…Angela finally learned how to edit video content. 🤓 In all seriousness, though, I’m loving being able to give you guys a better look at what we do and the things we create in ways that sometimes single photos just can’t capture!

Today I’m showing you some 33 ct (not a typo) Italian linen, which is a new base that we have sourced and begun dyeing. Would you ever give it a try?

Wednesday in the workshop (or rather, the dye studio - the back half of our brick and mortar location!) bringing you another sneak peek of our second 12-step hand dyed thread gradient set launching soon.

This collection takes a deeper, moodier turn, still a rainbow and still coordinating with its lighter companion set, Garden Party. Very dark jewel tones, plenty of our signature color depth, and just a little bit of a color shift in the dark overdye sections.

I always try not to overhype our new releases too much but let me just say, if you are a collector of Colour and Cotton stash, you guys are going to want to drop everything and snag this pack. It's definitely our richest gradient set to date. 😅 If you're subscribed to our email newsletter you'll get first dibs.
