💪 Not my normal post - but I’m proud! 👏
After my second c section this year I decided I wasn’t going to let myself hate my body. I was simply going to show up for it everyday and show my girls how strong mamas can be. The right is me in April, about 2.5 months postpartum and just starting to lift again. The left is today! I completed a legit 8 week strength training program and am so proud of myself for the changes I see in my body but more importantly in my self esteem. 🥹
Laying down on an operating table and letting my doctor cut through 7 layers of my body to bring my girls earthside was hard. Getting back to loving myself has been harder. I’m grateful for all this body can do. The art is makes, the friendships it nurtures and the babies it has carried. But it doesn’t mean I can’t want it to be stronger and get that b***y back 😋
Mamas, if you’re in the thick of postpartum and wondering if that spark is coming back - hold on girl. I promise it’s coming and moving your body will never make you feel worse! Start small, bring your kids with, clear a space in that dirty ass basement and make time for YOU!
Love yourself and you will never be alone ❤️
