✨ Our fourth and final 2026 senior is Sahasra! ✨

Sahasra has been at DDC for 11 years and will be attending WashU in the fall to study biology on the pre-med track.

Sahasra's favorite piece to perform was "Velvet Pants" because "it was a really fun, upbeat jazz dance with quick choreography and a little bit of everything, from jumps to turns to poses with a lot of sass." Sahasra was also part of DDC's Nutcracker with her favorite role being the Coffee soloist. She "loved being able to incorporate parts of my Bharatanatyam dancing and make it my own."

Her favorite memories are "getting food between rehearsals and classes, and al lthe laughs and fun convos with everyone in between."

Her advice to younger dancers: "The best dancers aren't perfect; they're confident, passionate, and always willing to learn from their mistakes."

Sahasra, it has been so much fun watching you become the dancer and person you are today. We can't wait to see where life takes you! 💕

✨Our third senior is Lily! ✨

Lily has been dancing at Dimensions for the past 14 years, and will be attending Georgetown University in the fall!

Lily's favorite piece she has performed in was "Starmachine 2000." "I remember watching the older girls practice the first version of it, so I was really excited to be in it the second time." Lily was also in DDC's production of the Nutcracker. Her favorite role was "Sugarplum, because I liked being able to include my favorite steps in the variation."

Her advice for younger dancers: "Stretch at home and focus on applying all corrections in class, even if they aren't specifically directed towards you."

Lily, we have loved watching you become an wonderful dancer and person throughout the years. We know you will accomplish amazing things in the future! 💕

✨Our second senior is Sarah Jane! ✨

Sarah Jane has been dancing at Dimensions for 15 years and will be attending Mizzou in the fall as a business major.

Sarah's favorite piece to perform was "Domino, because it was challenging but really satisfying to get and it was fun to do." Sarah also participated in DDC's annual Nutcracker. She "liked being in Nutcracker because of all the jumps and acting."

Sarah's favorite DDC memories are "always when we can't stop laughing in class."

Her advice to younger dancers: "Observing other dancers will help you improve a lot."

Sarah, we will miss the energy and passion you brought to the studio. We can't wait to see what the future holds for you! 💕

As we approach recital this weekend we will be highlighting our wonderful 2026 seniors!

✨First up is Kaitlyn! ✨

Kaitlyn has been dancing at Dimensions for 15 years. Next year she plans on taking a gap year and exploring different career options she is interest in!

Kaitlyn's favorite piece she performed was "Chemistry." "It was my favorite dance the year it was originally performed, so I was really excited to perform it again for recital a few years later. Kaitlyn also performed in DDC's annual Nutcracker in which her favorite role was the Mouse Queen because "it was my dream role ever since I started Nutcracker."

Kaitlyn's favorite memory at DDC was meeting her best friends Hallel and Esther.

Her advice to younger dancers: "Don't compare yourself to others."

Kaitlyn, we have loved watching your growth throughout the years and cannot wait to see what you accomplish in the future! 💕

🩰It's Costume Week!🩰

During class this week your dancer will receive their recital costume to bring home!

All items for each class will be bagged together and labeled with your dancers name. We encourage dancers in multiple classes to write their initials on the tag in case they get mixed up at the theater. Please place all costumes together in a closet or drawer to keep them safe until recital weekend.

Costumes are listed by class on the Recital page if you are unsure about which items belong to which class. All accessory pieces will be brought to the theater and given out on show day.

Please reach out if you have any questions! ✨
