16 years ago, Eve Cascella took a glassblowing class to make her son a wedding gift. She never stopped.

Her good friend went along for the ride, and together they started Snazzy Glass. You’ll easily spot their pieces in our gallery: comforting hearts, confetti tumblers, and paperweights that catch every color in the room.

Eve’s usually at the furnace around 6 am, rock playing in the background; if you go in to watch, she'll most likely strike up a conversation. Ask about the hearts — they’re one of our most popular items.

Shopping for a gift? That’s exactly how Snazzy Glass started. Shop Eve’s work at Third Degree, or swing by on a weekday morning to watch her at the furnace.

🎵 BONUS: This week, catch Eve playing with her band, Friday Jams, at our anniversary Third Friday!

One week from today our hot shop will host an epic battle. Two teams. One winner. One forced to give their piece to ... the Giant Pumpkin.

It's TDG vs Mario Clarke & the Springfield Art Association. Thanks to Eckert's Country Store & Farms for donating our smashing tool. 🎃

This vase doesn't just hold a plant; the greenery grows right through the glass! Made out of boro by TDG flame artist Lendy Middendorf, this kind of detail comes from someone who's been doing this a while.

Lendy's worked in glass since 2006, at TDG since 2010. This piece just won her a Merit Award at an exhibition at Green Root Gallery in Belleville, IL. Catch it before Nov. 4. If it doesn't sell there, look for it in our gallery!
