So many thoughts- so much to say… ❤️
We wanted to give everyone time to process a bit at the news of our closing. Our letter was able to give a few details and our reasoning behind the decision, but we’d like to take a moment to share what’s in our hearts.
Our Gibby community (Gibby Girls and Hip Hop boys - past and present) has always given us so much love, encouragement, and support. Gibby’s has always been such a unique studio. We truly have been blessed to create a dance family that cheers for one another, pushes one another to excellence, and provides a safe place to dance and be real. Good days, bad days, the ups and downs of life - we all came together, supported one another, and lifted each other up in our mutual love for dance. Dance itself is what matters- not perfect ex*****on of choreography or flawless technique… but a true passion for dance and the creative outlet it is for all of us. A place where we don’t have “clients”, but rather our dance family. We treasure our dancers and will continue to cheer them on in all their endeavors.
You have shared with us countless memories, which we treasure. Laughing our way through classes and enjoying the craziness of recital time, and then working together to put on a wonderfully entertaining show. (Actually, 60 years of amazing recitals - which is an incredible gift! ) The pure joy of dance was always evident on the real smiles presented on stage! We are so grateful.
It was our hope to carry on with the traditions set forth by Gibby, who wanted to provide everyone with the opportunity to dance. She was truly an inspiration! ❤️ We hope we were able to share even just a part of her legacy with all of you!
We love seeing all the posts and pictures you are sharing about your time at Gibby’s!!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support you have given us! Because of you, we had our dream job- literally the best place to come to and the best people to be with! We truly have been greatly blessed because of all of you 💜 These words do not fully encompass all that is in our hearts, but the simple truth is we want to say
THANK YOU!
