I forgot to record the last steps. But, this is the final product. I cut some slots in the mouth for breathing, and covered the inside with screen. I then put a gloss on it to make it look wet, and spattered it with blood. This thing is gross, and I love it.

We took a little vacation this weekend and went to Colorado. While there, we went to the final Greeley Monster Day! We had a blast! Saw some cool stuff, saw Ed and Marsha, ran into my materials supplier from Chicago, and bought a few new friends. Now, back to making monsters!

Next step with this custom order is sculpting the removable piece. Im using the mask underneath as a guide to make sure it fully covers the main mask. Clay doesnt want to stick to latex very well, so may have to try something different.

We are going to work through this process together. This is the casting from yesterday's mold. Now the interesting part....

Applying the burlap coat to a fresh sculpt. This adds strength and structure. This wav, if you drop it and it cracks, it keeps it all together and makes it lighter.
