Earlier this week, "Professor House" received St. Louis Theater Circle nominations, including Outstanding New Play.

We’re grateful for that. But what we keep coming back to is the room.

We’re proud of the public-facing performance — and we’re just as proud of the space that made the production possible. A space made by performers, designers, crew, stage management, and collaborators paying close, generous attention to one another — shaping when the work needed to whisper, and when it needed to roar.

We’re proud of what we made together.

Contraband’s artistic home, The Chapel, is having a New Year’s open house! All are welcome!!

In keeping with our desire to be a Sanctuary for the Arts, if you are an artist, or love the arts and don't have plans for New Year's Eve, the Chapel is having an Open House from 6pm til midnight. We'd love for you to join us! Come when you can. Leave when you must. There will be music, board games, food and drink. Feel free to bring something to share but no need to do so. Just come. We'd love to see you!
