Join us on August 7 from 4:30-6:30pm for a Back-to-School Rave created especially for kids and their grown-ups. We’re partnering with St. Louis Magazine's Family Playdate series to celebrate the end of summer with music, movement and plenty of room to dance.

We're hiring!

Metro Theater Company is seeking an enthusiastic, emerging theater professional to join our team as a Teaching Artist Fellow for the 2026-2027 season.

This 36-week, full-time seasonal fellowship offers hands-on experience teaching PreK-12 students while working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to inspiring young people through theater.

Applications will be accepted through July 31 or until the position is filled.

🥁 Drumroll, please… Season 54 is here!

For more than five decades, Metro Theater Company has created professional theater that connects young people to stories that expand what they believe is possible.
This season, we're taking that a step further — inviting young people beyond the role of audience member and into the story itself. Through two interactive productions, MTC creates space for kids to engage, imagine, and take center stage in journeys of courage, discovery, and transformation.
Season 54 features a world-premiere production inspired by the life of a St. Louis icon, plus an unforgettable adventure rooted in the classic hero's journey — both built to help young people step forward, take up space, and find the power of their own voice.

Art can hold more than we imagine!

Join Metro Theater Company this Sunday (7/12) at the Saint Louis Art Museum in Gallery 246 from 1pm-4pm for a FREE playful pop-up performance inspired by Lucas Samaras’ Box 45. MTC’s Hailey Medrano brings this interactive experience to life, inviting audiences to discover the stories, memories, and connections waiting to be found within art.

Performances take place every 30 minutes from 1–4 p.m.

Because of the incredible generosity of our community, we not only met our $10,000 matching challenge... we exceeded it!

Your support means so much more than a fundraising goal. It means we'll continue bringing high-quality theater and arts education to young people through school residencies, educational programming, and professional productions in schools and community spaces across our region. It helps keep our team creating, teaching, traveling, and yes, even keeps the wheels turning on our touring van, Vinnie Van Go!
