Plus anything geeky, or anything really, we like. ADMIN Julie: I do not consider myself an expert in anything "geeky". I know a little bit about a lot of things. I would consider myself a Disney geek above all else, but enjoy attending conventions and cosplaying. I can hold my own in a conversation about Batman, I think. : ) I was on a panel at St. Louis Wizard World Comic Con (hosted by GeekyKool
.com) entitled, "Geek Girls, Are they real?" We had such great response that I decided to open up a geek girls page which would be safe for everyone. I find that most of the "geeky" pages have a lot of cussing, exposed skin and violence and though I am absolutely not opposed to those things, I have a very old soul and grew up watching reruns of Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, Lucy, Monkees, Donna Reed and the like. I never imagined that Scooby and Shaggy were high or that Velma was a s*x kitten. Sexy and slutty are two different things of course and I hope everyone knows the difference. Feel free to ask any questions about girl geekdom. I am surrounded by amazing women in the geek world and will get you answers ASAP. I put this page under health and Beauty because I think that's what it is. Good mental health is vital to living and cosplay, video games, film and the like are art and art is beauty. Go out there and have fun above all else! Life. Is. Short. ADMIN: Kate Baue is a professional programmer and amateur cosplayer. Her geekiness started when she became obsessed with Greek Mythology in 5th grade. Her cosplaying started when she wanted to dress up as Mint Aizawa from Tokyo Mew Mew for Halloween in 6th grade. Her mom made the costume and Kate thinks it turned out quite well. Kate has a wide variety of geeky interests, from comics to anime to video games and everything in between. Let's just say that she knows what all the merchandise in a Star Clipper is.
