Described by Gramophone Magazine as a guitarist with “youthful intensity tempered by sophisticated musical intelligence”, Jack Hancher is a unique voice of the classical guitar. Jack's second album "Muse" will be released on September 18, 2026 (one day before the concert!) on the Deux-Elles label. The record will feature his arrangements of piano works by Debussy, Ravel, Satie, Mompou and Albéniz alongside works written for guitar by Falla and José.

A free master class with Mr. Hancher will take place on Sunday, September 20 at 3:00pm at the Ethical Society. St. Louis area guitar students will perform.

This summer, we continued our collaboration with Hope Creates, teaching the guitar to several Make Your M.A.R.C. cohorts. The participants ended their programs with a concert, showcasing their beautifully painted instruments and all they have learned on the guitar.

"Our first all-girl cohort at Twin Rivers DYS was truly special. Their joy and eagerness to learn were infectious, and it was a privilege to watch their confidence and creativity grow this summer.
Because of the generosity of our donors, each young artist gets to take home a guitar, percussion instrument, art kit, and more so they can continue expressing themselves, and “creating hope” long after the program ends." - Hope Creates
