Everyone needs to watch this from beginning to end. We could not agree more with everything that was said. We have made quite a few posts about bullying and ego in this field but lately it seems to be getting even worse.

Our tagline has always been “Be kind. Stay spooky”. We believe we can accomplish more not only in this field but in our lives in general by showing some support and being kind to those around us. That is why we do not tolerate bullying on our page. You will not see us drag names through the mud regardless of what they have said about us or how they’ve tried to sabotage us… We don’t do this for the following. We do this because we love it, and no bully can ever take that away from us.

Day 3 of our haunted road trip took us to Philadelphia, and I’m not sure words can fully capture what it feels like to stand where so much of our country’s history unfolded.

As a history nerd, walking the same streets as the people who helped shape our nation was an experience we will not soon forget. We saw the Liberty Bell, explored Independence Hall (though we couldn’t go inside because tours were sold out for the whole weekend) and Congress Hall, paid our respects at Benjamin Franklin’s grave, and visited the Betsy Ross House. Every stop felt like stepping into the pages of a history book.

Then we shifted from American history to one of the country’s most infamous haunted locations—Eastern State Penitentiary. Exploring its crumbling cellblocks after spending the day immersed in our nation’s beginnings made for a perfect ending to an unforgettable day.

Even though the traffic totally sucked, we would go back in a heartbeat. There was just so much to see and explore and not enough time. Philly, we will be back for you someday!

The continued recap of our summer roadtrip…

Day 2: Hershey, PA

Not every stop on this trip was ghost-related… but this one definitely involved A LOT of sugar. Day 2 took us further into Pennsylvania to Hershey where we made a side quest to visit Hershey’s Chocolate World. Here, we fully embraced the whole “being a tourist” thing and bought way more chocolate than we probably should have.

Sometimes the best parts of a paranormal roadtrip are the moments you get to step back, take a break, and just enjoy making happy memories with people in your life. Here is your friendly reminder to occasionally take a moment to savor these kind of sweet moments we get.

Also, yes… the street lights are shaped like Kisses!

Now that we are home and rested, we can finally start recapping our trip.

Day 1: Gettysburg

There are some places that leave a lasting impression on you, and Gettysburg is absolutely one of them.

We started our morning exploring the battlefields and monuments, taking time to reflect on the immense sacrifices made there. Luckily we got to see everything before the wildfire smoke rolled in. Standing on that historic ground is a humbling experience that reminds you just how much history unfolded in a single place.

That afternoon, we toured the Jenny Wade House. Our guide walked us along the exact route Jenny’s family took in their desperate attempt to reach safety. Hearing the story while physically following those same steps made the experience incredibly emotional and brought history to life in a way we never expected.

For dinner, we visited the historic Farnsworth House Inn, where the waitstaff dressed in period clothing added to the atmosphere, and the food was absolutely delicious.

As the sun went down, we joined a haunted history tour that turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. Rather than focusing only on ghost stories, our guide painted a vivid picture of the days after the Battle of Gettysburg, sharing what life was like for the women and children left to cope with unimaginable loss and devastation. It was a perspective we hadn’t considered before and one that has stayed with us.

The evening concluded in the basement of the Gettysburg Orphanage, where we had the opportunity to explore, investigate, and capture photos. Whether you’re interested in history, the paranormal, or simply understanding the human stories behind Gettysburg, it’s an experience we’ll never forget.

Gettysburg gave us so much more than haunted locations—it gave us a deeper appreciation for the people whose lives were forever changed by the events that unfolded there. We left with full hearts, countless memories, and an even greater respect for this remarkable place.

There are places that you visit because they are “famous”, and then there are the places that will forever leave a mark on your heart.

During our trip, we had the privilege of visiting the final resting place of two remarkable women - Jenny Wade and Betsy Ross. Though their stories are very different, both left behind stories and lives that are still remembered generations later. Standing at each of their graves was a silent reminder that history isn’t just what we read about in the text books. It is the lives of ordinary people whose courage, sacrifice, and perseverance shaped the world around them.

One detail that made the experience even more memorable was learning that these two women are the only women in history to be honored with a Perpetual American Flag at their graves. This honor has been granted to less than ten individuals nationwide and signifies the highest honor someone can receive. It was a beautiful symbol that their contributions and sacrifice have never been forgotten and their memories continue to be honored every single day.

We took a few moments to pay our respects, reflect on their lives, and simply appreciate the fact that we were standing where so much of our history has unfolded. As paranormal investigators, we are often drawn to stories that linger long after people are gone, but this wasn’t about searching for the unknown. It was about remembering two women whose lives still inspire awe and respect.

Thank you Jenny Wade and Betsy Ross for the legacies you left behind. It was truly an honor to visit, reflect, and remember.
