As a busy mom of 3 under 6, there’s never an ideal time to sketch and practice my painting skills with no pressure. I constantly feel the need to ✨produce✨ when I paint.
Waking up early without a clear goal is hard for me, and staying up too late has felt near impossible lately.
So I decided to start doing mini sketch paintings while I keep an eye on my kids playing.
I feel like I’m still trying to develop my own style and trust what my eye is seeing and how to get it on the page. I follow so many amazing artists that make it look so easy and I feel like I’m falling behind.
So instead of letting comparison become the thief of my joy, I’m going to commit to sketch painting while I watch my kids instead of scroll my phone.
