Working hard on our technique!💛

Thank you for all of the encouragement for these little dancers! They are working hard in their ballet class! To answer a question that keeps popping up on this post: yes, not only do they know the French terminology, they can also translate it from French to English. We spend a lot of time on that! In this video, we are giving them verbal reminders such as “up”, “heel touches”, “brush (the floor)” to remind them of what their body needs to know. They are only 6 and 7 years old, so it can be a lot to remember! But they all know that they are doing a waltz turn, sauté arabesque, pas de chat, etc. and that is how we refer to the steps when teaching the combination.
