It is said that the best way to spread Christmas cheer is by singing loud for all to hear! Join the esteemed Saint Charles Christmas Traditions® carolers for "Sounds of the Season: A Celebration of Caroling History," a musical journey through holiday music history. Throughout the program (which will feature a lineup of cherished melodies), the carolers will provide narration that highlights the little known history and backstory of each song, leaving you with an even deeper appreciation for these holiday classics.

Opening Day, Saturdays, and Sundays at 2:30 PM at the grand staircase of the Old Post Office (119 South Main)

On November 27th, ring in the opening of Saint Charles Christmas Traditions® as all of the legends of holiday folklore join together to welcome Victorian Santa Claus back to historic Main Street.

Follow behind your favorite Christmas Traditions® characters as they come together for an entrance procession to Frontier Park where Santa and Mrs. Claus will cut the ceremonial ribbon, marking the official start of the holiday season. NOTE: The opening day procession route will go from the 100 block of North Main to the 400 block of South Main before turning into Frontier Park and proceeding to the KATY Depot for the Opening Day ceremony.

Time: Immediately following the opening day procession at Noon

In honor of our 50th Anniversary in 2024, we made a movie. Produced in conjunction with the City of Saint Charles Media Department and the Greater Saint Charles Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, this 75-minute documentary delves into the history of the event (from its humble beginnings in the mid-1970s, to its evolution to become a holiday experience that is enjoyed by a quarter of a million visitors each season).

Peek behind-the-scenes of the 11-month process each Christmas Traditions® season goes through, from planning stages to reality! This is our a tribute to the incredible locals, staff, volunteers, and visitors, that created Saint Charles Christmas Traditions®, and have continued to make it possible over the years. Enjoy!
