Yesterday, Miss Louisiana Crawfish Festival Queen Lyrissa Landry and Teen Louisiana Crawfish Festival Queen Vivian Coulon attended the Mass and Installation of Officers for Archbishop Joseph F. Rummel Council 5747 and its Ladies Auxiliary.

During the ceremony, they witnessed the swearing-in of the officers who will help lead the council throughout their reign as Louisiana Crawfish Festival Queens. Following the installation, the queens joined members and guests at Rummel Hall for the reception social and presentation of awards.

This annual tradition is a meaningful experience for our queens, providing them with an opportunity to see firsthand the dedication, service, and leadership that support both our community and the Louisiana Crawfish Festival. It serves as a reminder of the strong partnership between the festival and the Knights of Columbus, whose commitment has helped make the festival a success for more than 50 years.

We are grateful that Lyrissa and Vivian were able to be part of this special ceremony and congratulate all of the newly installed officers.

Yesterday, our Louisiana Crawfish Festival Queens had the opportunity to attend the Seafood Market in Delacroix, where visitors enjoyed fresh local shrimp, crabs, and delicious chargrilled oysters straight from the heart of St. Bernard Parish.

Thank you to our queens for proudly representing the Louisiana Crawfish Festival and supporting this wonderful local event. Your presence helps showcase the very best of our community, our seafood industry, and the hardworking men and women who make St. Bernard Parish such a special place!

Join us on Thursday, June 25, as we celebrate Chalmette’s hometown champion with a community parade through the heart of Chalmette.

📍 Parade Begins:
Former Big Lots location at Chalmette Mall
8700 W. Judge Perez Drive

🏁 Parade Ends:
Chalmette High School
1100 E. Judge Perez Drive

The parade will travel eastbound along Judge Perez Drive for approximately 1.6 miles.

Mitchell Robinson’s journey from Chalmette High School to NBA Champion has made our entire community proud, and we invite residents, friends, and fans to come out and help us celebrate this incredible accomplishment.

Please be aware that temporary traffic delays and lane closures will occur along the parade route during the event.

Bring your family, wear your CHS maroon and white, and help us give Mitchell the hometown welcome he deserves! 🏆🦉🏀
