It has been almost a year since I posted on here. In that time I’ve gotten married to an absolute dreamboat of a man, moved a kiln across a mountain, changed my studio location, had some health issues for a few months, and settled into a new routine of my life in Spruce Pine. However, that routine did not include time in the studio.
I was burnt out. And it is something that I feel isn’t talked about amongst artists. You always have to be creating, applying, selling, marketing; from the minute you graduate. Even if you’re uninspired or unmotivated. Because that’s what you signed up for when you decided to be an artist.
And I did. And I came up with excuses as to why I wasn’t in the studio. But it was because I was burnt out. Both mentally and physically as I dealt with some medical issues. I needed to take some time and space away from my studio practice to re-evaluate what I was doing.
All of this to say that I am finally back in the studio and I am EXCITED to be there; making again. Which is a big deal to me. And I just wanted to share that with you people on the internet ☺️
Hopefully I’ll be posting more than once a year now, and will have some goodies for sale before the holidays ♥️ if you’ve made it this far; thank you. Please bear with me as I get back into this.
