The street mural in Springville is finished. It was a team effort of the city of Springville, the Springville Museum of Art, the artist who designed it, 6 of us mural artists and many volunteers of all ages. Yay for bringing more art into the public.

I can’t remember the name of the artist who designed it. If you know, feel free to drop it in the comments. I heard it was designed based on a work of art at the Springville Museum of Art.

Summer is almost here, and if you’re looking for a fun, weekly activity that gets your kids away from screens and into something creative, I’d love to have them in my art classes in Orem Utah!

I'm so thrilled to announce that Amy June Bates will be the guest speaker for next weeks Illustration Mastermind Meeting - April 6th!

Amy June Bates is the illustrator of over 50 books. She picked up a pencil when she was three and hasn’t stopped drawing since.

Some of her books include THE DOG WHO BELONGED TO NO ONE by Amy Hest; BEAR IN THE AIR by Susan Meyers; KETZEL, THE CAT WHO COMPOSED by Lesléa Newman; SWEET DREAMS by Jewel; and HILLARY CLINTON: DREAMS TAKING FLIGHT by Kathleen Krull. In 2018 she published her first author-illustrated book, THE BIG UMBRELLA.
