Love’s Sacrifice
In the quiet of the night, I stand alone,
A heart that’s willing to give up what’s my own.
For love, I’d cross the rivers wide,
Leave behind the world, and set my pride aside.
A sacrifice, a silent prayer,
To show you just how much I care.
No treasure, no wealth, could ever compare,
To the love I hold, so pure and rare.
I’d give my dreams, my hopes, my days,
To see your smile, to hear you say,
That love is worth the pain we bear,
That in surrender, we find our prayer.
For in giving all, I find my gain,
A love that heals, a love that’s sane.
No loss is too great, no price too high,
When love’s the reason I live and die.
So take my hand, and let me be
The sacrifice that sets you free.
For love’s true gift is not to win,
But to give our hearts and start again.
