And now, it's time for Pepperoni's pick of the week:

"I new this day would eventually come. It's time to pick the greatest hits (Volumes I & II) from one of the greatest. One of the greatest songwriters and piano players of all time - Billy Joel. The piano man himself, one of the biggest and most successful pop / rock artists of all time, you know every song on this double LP compilation is a HIT in all caps. I thought about picking his album "The Stranger" because it's my personal favorite, but then again there's a whole five songs off of that album on this greatest hits. We sell Billy Joel used records in our store all day long as well, but I figure it wouldn't be a bad idea to have new copies of his greatest hits at all time! Enjoy!"

Join us for Dumb Records pinball tournament #3 this Friday, June 26. Entry is $7, warmup is at 6pm and things kick off right at 7pm. We will be saying goodbye to our long time friend from 1986, MOTORDOME which is the featured game for the final round. A special trophy will be awarded for first place.

🚨 BIG PINBALL ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚨

This summer we will be teaming up with the new Vault 66 Pinball downtown in the former Café Moxo space (409 E. Adams Street) and helping this new arcade downtown maintain regular operating hours Tuesdays through Saturdays!

Hours and entry fees for each day are as follows:
Tuesdays 3:00-8:00pm ($10)
Wednesdays 3:00-8:00pm ($10)
Thursdays 5:00-10:00pm ($5)
Fridays 11:00am-7:00pm ($10)
Saturdays 9:00am-1:00pm ($5)

Entry for all-you can play pinball is $10 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and then $5 on Thursdays and Saturdays. (You don't need quarters from there, all of the games are set to free play).

Purchasing entry at Vault 66 will also get you a wristband that is ALSO good for entry into the Dumb Records arcade! And for those purchasing the regular $5 entry at our arcade, for an additional $5 you can get a wristband good for all day entry at Vault 66. Our arcades are one block apart. (Our arcade is also still open every day 10am-7pm along with our downtown store).

The Vault 66 lineup currently consists of 14 pinball machines, and we are working on adding more non-pinball games to the lineup. This is a bit of an experiment, and if there is enough interest and things go well we will potentially be working to continue to expand the space and provide more hours!

Last night I (Brian) got to finally see the impressive Golden Voice Studios wall at the Peoria Riverfront Museum and by crazy happenchance Jerry and Mary Ann Wilam who ran the recording studio in the 60’s and 70’s were also there, I got to finally meet them both! Jerry recorded bands HEAD EAST, Johnathan Cain of JOURNEY, Dan Fogelberg, FARM, REO Speedwagon, and countless others. Mary Ann is 90 years old and still has a list of Golden Voice affiliated records she is working on hunting down!

All indications point to a ❗️new all-time record in attendance❗️We'll post an official count next week.

In the meantime, big hugs to Springfield for showing up and helping us create community, inclusion, and civic pride. 🫂💕

Shout out to Visit Springfield and the City of Springfield-Municipal Government for an awesome after show! Sky Elements Drones put on a great show!
