New to tattoos or just love to be ultra-prepared to ease your type-A mind (hello!👋🏼)? These are the tips I recommend to all of my clients to ensure we have the smoothest session possible.

✨ Properly hydrate in the days leading up to your session.
The best skin to tattoo is hydrated skin! Ink goes in easier and you’ll generally feel better if you’ve been properly hydrating before your session. Be drinking plenty of water and moisturizing your skin appropriately!

✨ Come to your session well-rested and having eaten a solid meal.
When your basic needs are met, your mind and body can be in the right space for having a tattoo done.

✨ Come prepared with comfort in mind.
Wear what you feel comfiest in, while being mindful of the area we’ll be working on. Bring a cozy blankie, headphones, a book, snacks, a fidget toy: whatever you need to relax, bring it with you.

✨ Communicate!
Gonna be a few minutes late? Let me know. Want to change the stencil size or placement? Sure. Need a fifteen minute break? Me too, girl. Have a question? I have answers! This is your session, your tattoo, your body. Never feel afraid to speak up.

✨Work In Progress✨

Session one down on the beginnings of this gambling-inspired leg sleeve for Addison. I don’t always post pieces that are still in progress, but it’s fun to share the process; sometimes large tattoos mean putting things on hold and rocking the outline for a minute. 😅 Can’t wait for our next round on this one!
