Springfield Writers' Guild Inspiring writers of all genres. Meets the fourth Saturday of each month. Mentor hour 10:00 am. Speaker at 11:00 am business meeting at 12:00.

Visitors attend free. Springfield Writers' Guild was founded in 1943 to:
- Encourage local writers in their craft.
- Provide mutual support among members.
- Encourage aspiring writers to become published writers.
- Recruit members into the Missouri Writers' Guild.
- Encourage writers in the marketing of their literary material for payment. The Guild accomplishes these goals by emphasizing mentoring, genre interest, motivation, publishing, and writing skills.

Our Story

There’s no greater feeling than to put your thoughts on paper and have someone else enjoy reading those words. Over one hundred writers are encouraged, get ideas, and support from one another. Springfield Writers' Guild was founded in 1943 to inspire local writers in their craft. Both men and women of all ages writing in multiple genres come together to rub shoulders and motivate one another each month. Visitors are welcome to attend.
