Prairie Archives Antiquarian Booksellers Located in the heart of historic downtown Springfield, Prairie Archives has been serving Central Illinois since 1973. Adams since 1992.

We have occupied three locations since our founding and our current store has been located at 522 E. We have approximately 250,000 books in stock, documents, manuscript material, posters, prints, comics, collectibles, magazines, political buttons, postcards and lots more. If you don't see a title you're looking for, please feel free to inquire; only a small part of our stock is catalogued. Our ema

We also carry a line of t-shirts, including the ever-popular "Abraham Lincoln: They'd have to shoot me to get me back to Springfield" and "Frank Lloyd Wright: I can design a building that would look good even in Springfield". Please inquire about our other designs, sizes and prices. Our black lab, Ruby, keeps a good watch on the shop and visitors.

We have it! 'Murder In Athens, IL' by Ray Roentgen! Recently featured in the Illinois Times, Roentgen is the pen name of Mike Stutz formerly of Springfield. Mike claims elements of his story are from his youth and specifically are drawn from the personalities of his Springfield High School soccer teammates. Can you find yourself in this book?
