Come sing with the Chorale!

The Chorale is the signature ensemble of Missouri State University's Choirs. The Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Cameron LaBarr, performs at national and international festivals, conferences and competitions. The Chorale tours regularly and has traveled to all corners of the world. Past tours have taken the Chorale to South Africa, Chile and Argentina, and, most recently, Australia and New Zealand in May 2026. The Chorale is regularly involved in professionally recorded albums which can be located on all music streaming platforms. Along with the Women's Chorus, the Chorale will be performing at the MMEA conference in January with many more performance opportunities throughout the school year.

IMPORTANT AUDITION DETAILS:
- Incoming MSU freshman are not eligible to audition for Chorale.
- Students wishing to be considered for Chorale must complete an audition BEFORE Sunday, August 16th.
- Sunday, Aug 16th: There will be a callback audition for Chorale that will take place on Sunday at 3 pm.

Come sing in Choral Union!

The Missouri State Choral Union is open to all students and community members. This December, the Choral Union will be collaborating with the MSU Harp studio for a performance of Benjamin Britten’s iconic Ceremony of Carols and other holiday favorites! There will be additional performance opportunities in Springfield and throughout the school year as well, including the annual President’s Concert in the Spring semester with the MSU Symphony Orchestra. You won’t want to miss out on this exciting year of music making!
