In secret conversations on the rooftops of Tel Aviv at night, the systems behind Israel’s calculated mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza are revealed by the people who designed and operated them.
The critically acclaimed film, produced with the team behind the Zone of Interest and directed by Oscar-winning film-makers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, includes testimony from 24 Israeli military insiders, shot at night on the rooftops of Tel Aviv. A landmark of pre-Code comedy, Animal Crackers has endured as one of the Marx Brothers’ defining works and a touchstone of American comedy. ANIMAL CRACKERS (1930) screens FREE Saturday, October 10 @ 12pm. These FREE screenings are part of MOXIE FLIX at Moxie Cinema, a monthly series focusing on essential films for kids to see before they turn 13. Mayhem and zaniness ensue when a valuable painting goes missing during a party in honor of famed African explorer Captain Spaulding. Long available in versions with poor image and sound, this restoration includes newly-recovered once-censored footage that was long thought lost. (G, 97 min.)
