The Springfield Little Theatre Education Department began with a handful of troupers and a few classes and has grown into its own facility, complete with 80+ classes in acting, voice, dance, film, comedy, writing, and theatre production each week, a school touring program, a robust education series of productions, youth performing troupes for elementary through high school-aged students, and so mu

Sign up for our next EDUCATION SERIES PRODUCTION, "The Claw", directed by Matthew James.

AGES 8 – 18
Great for new, entry-level, AND returning students.
No experience is necessary. All are welcome!

Placement auditions for performers ages 8 through adult will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 7:00 PM at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre (“The Judy”). At the auditions, participants will be taught a short movement combination and a portion of a song from the show and will be given and asked to perform a short line reading.

Check out the audition workshop on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, to get a jump-start on the competition!

The cast and parent meeting/ first rehearsal will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 7:00 PM at The Judy!

Rehearsals will begin Sunday, April 5th and will run Sundays – Thursdays from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal.

Performances will be presented Friday, May 15 at 7:00 PM, Saturday, May 16 at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, and Sunday, May 17 at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM in The Reynolds Auditorium at The Judy.

Please bring the instrument you indicated on your audition form. You can expect to read additional scenes from the script, sing, play instruments, and explore some shadow puppetry during our call back time. Call backs are scheduled from 7-9 pm in the Studio Theatre.
