Thanks go out to Bobbi Tisdel of the Room Factory for the referral to create a family's story wall (actually two). What a joy to work with this family. I got to frame their wonderful photos and create a composition on this, and another, wall for them.

Cooper's portrait ( the previous post) went home today. My clients were very happy. The portrait hangs with his sister's, and four cousins' portraits as well as one large one of all these kids' parents. When I paint for a family for almost 20 years we have a special relationship. Cooper is the last portrait. So it is a happy sad day.

In progress: Cooper in front of Grandpa's Chevy truck. It is a happy sad portrait because I have painted 6 grandchildren and four grown children for this family over the last 20 years and this is the last one. I am one lucky woman!
I will post again when the portrait is complete.

I was privileged to unveil my latest work last Wednesday. This portrait of Jerry and Blanche Helen Carter hangs at the business they started. They are no longer of this earth but I hope the portrait will bring joy to family and friends for a long time.

I have a new project brewing with which I intend to help artists get exposure to people, which will make some extra dollars show up in their pockets, while meeting these fun people who also might buy some art. If you are an artist and want to know more, send me a message. If you know a cool artist ( which one isn't?), pass the news along so they can contact me.
Artist: any genre! Paint, wood, fiber, food, music, ceramics and pottery, paper, sculpture, glass, furniture, metal...what did I forget?
This is going to be fun!

There are all kinds of journeys..mental and physical. Regardless, it takes an effort to get started down a new road:
First one has to get a glimpse of it, dream of what might happen on that road, and get excited by the possibilities.
Then one has to make THE COMMITMENT to go.
Next comes all of the preparation. Bags are packed anticipating what may be needed for what may happen.
And then just start...go!

Most of you know about my world travels taken in the last few years. They have been wonderful and life changing. Meanwhile, I have been dreaming of another road which involves expanding my blogging. Stay tuned. Travel Lore will be launched ASAP. I am "packing the bags".
Travel Lore...coming soon.
Connecting the world through people and art.
