STAGERATS RETURNS! JULY 20 - AUGUST 1
What’s a Stagerat? Anyone who loves being onstage or backstage at a theatre. A Stagerat loves the smell of the greasepaint and the roar of the crowd. A Stagerat loves telling stories, and making an audience smile...or laugh...or maybe even touch a heart.

Crafted by a team of educators and arts professionals, the Stagerats program is designed for students entering grades 6, 7, 8 and 9. Our Stagerats program will expose our participants to all areas of the theatrical arts: acting, singing, dancing and improv, as well as scenic design, costuming, props and makeup!

The Stagerats program is a two-week experience, concluding with a production of "The Wizard of Oz", based on the beloved book by L. Frank Baum and the classic MGM film.

Enrollment in Stagerats is limited to approximately 40 students.

Join the Lincoln Library Alliance at The Legacy for a FREE showing of the award-winning documentary “The Librarians” followed by a community conversation.

In this film by Kim A. Snyder, librarians become first responders in the fight for democracy and First Amendment rights. They understand that controlling ideas means controlling communities. In Texas, the Krause List targets 850 books on race and LGBTQ stories, triggering book bans across the U.S. As tensions escalate, librarians link heated school and library board meetings nationwide to White Christian Nationalism fueling censorship. Despite harassment, threats, and laws criminalizing their work, their rallying cry for the freedom to read is a chilling cautionary tale.

When an unpolished Cockney fellow unexpectedly learns that he is the long-lost heir to a grand English estate, the upper crust won’t know what hit them! Joyful, uplifting, and irresistibly fun, “Me and My Girl” will send you out humming a tune, and ready to step into a pair of tap shoes!

Originally produced in London in 1937, “Me and My Girl” found new life in the 1980’s, becoming a sensation in both London and Broadway, running more than eight years in London and three years on Broadway, earning an impressive 13 Tony Award nominations!
