As we celebrate our 5th season, we’re excited to share our spring concert, Rooted in Song, a special program honoring five years of Queen City Chorale. This concert will feature some of our favorite selections and audience-loved “greatest hits” from seasons past, celebrating the music, memories, and community that have shaped QCC since the beginning.

We are also honored to present this concert as part of First & Calvary Presbyterian Church’s Musical Offerings Series, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to share this milestone performance with the Springfield community.

Over the past five years, your support has helped Queen City Chorale grow from an idea into a thriving choral organization. Whether you’ve sung with us, attended a concert, donated, or cheered us on from afar, thank you for being part of our story.

There’s still time to help us build the next chapter! Support our Giving Campaign by donating at the link in our bio or by visiting https://www.queencitychorale.org/support today. 💜👑

One of the greatest joys of making music is bringing new stories into the world. ❤️

At our Spring Concert , we had the honor of premiering "Majesty," a brand-new work by our very own singer, Cassandra Hernandez.

Written in memory of her late grandparents, Majesty is a personal reflection on love, loss, and legacy. What makes this premiere even more extraordinary? This is the first (and only) piece Cassandra has ever composed!

We are endlessly grateful for opportunities to champion living artists, especially those within our own ensemble. To help bring a singer's personal story to life through music, and to share that story with our community, is a privilege we never take for granted.

Thank you, Cassandra, for trusting us with this beautiful gift. We are so proud to have given voice to your music.

It’s Day 5 of our giving campaign and today we’re featuring our upcoming winter concert, “Tales, Tunes, and a Dragon”!

In collaboration with the Springfield-Greene County Library District, this concert turns toward joy and accessibility, featuring The Reluctant Dragon by John Rutter, based on the beloved story later adapted by Disney.

With staging, narration, and audience participation, this family-centered performance introduces children to live choral music in an imaginative, welcoming, and sensory-friendly way, alongside some traditional holiday carols.

If the arts are to flourish, the next generation must feel invited into the room. This concert makes that invitation clear.

It’s Day 4 of our giving campaign and today we’re shining a light on our first concert of the 26-27 season, “We Remember Them”. This concert will feature Eric Whitacre’s The Sacred Veil, a poignant work tracing love, illness, and loss. Written after lyricist Charles Anthony Silvestri lost his wife to ovarian cancer, the piece reflects a reality that has touched nearly every family.

Presented in partnership with GYN Cancers Alliance during National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, this concert acknowledges grief as a natural part of life while offering music as a vehicle for healing, remembrance, and connection. In addition to ticket sales, guests will be invited to make a freewill offering benefiting GYNCA and its mission to support individuals and families impacted by gynecologic cancers in the Ozarks.

This program invites our community into a shared reflection that is honest, tender, compassionate, and ultimately hopeful.

One of the standout moments from our recent concert, The Place She Makes, was Katerina Gimon's stunning arrangement of "Apple Tree." Ethereal and earthy, this music reminded us of human potential, identity, and the idea that ordinary people still have the power to change the world. 🍎⚡

We’re excited to keep sharing moments from this special performance with you soon. Stay tuned!
