AllSound Mobile DJ Service- The Story Behind the Music

For as long as I can remember, music has been the heartbeat of my life. Growing up in the Gila Valley, I looked up to my older brother, ten years my senior and already a talented DJ. Any chance I had to tag along to his events, I took it. Watching him read a crowd, blend songs, and create moments that people remembered long after the night ended sparked something in me that never went away.

In 1997, at just fifteen years old, I stepped behind the decks for the first time at my local high school. I didn’t own any equipment yet, so I rented gear from my high school band teacher and hauled it to every event I could along with my giant crate of CDs. Within a couple of years, I was DJing nearly every school dance in the entire Gila Valley. I quickly learned that what I loved most wasn’t just the music, it was the joy on people’s faces when the right song hit at the right moment.

My first wedding came shortly after, and that experience changed everything. Weddings demanded more than just good music, they required timing, intuition, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of what each couple envisioned for their day. I was hooked. Over time, I honed my craft, learning how to build playlists that reflect a couple’s personality while keeping every generation on the dance floor.

Over the past 29 years, I’ve had the privilege of DJing thousands of events across Arizona. From the Peoria Sports Complex to the Round Valley Dome, from Disney themed celebrations to Lord of the Rings weddings complete with pointed ears and a bride carried in on a rustic litter, I’ve seen just about everything. I have run sound for major bands, performed large shows in Las Vegas, DJ’d 24 hour cancer walk a thons without stopping, celebrated anniversaries and graduations, and yes… even honored families by providing music at funerals.

And after all these years, I still get goosebumps when a crowd locks into the energy of a mix. DJing isn’t a side gig or a weekend hobby for me, it’s a passion that has shaped my life. I love meeting new couples, learning their story, and helping them create a celebration that feels uniquely theirs. I am grateful to have earned consistently high review ratings from the couples I have served, and I never take that trust lightly.

I’ve thought about retiring more than once, but the truth is simple, the joy that DJing brings to me and to the people I serve keeps me coming back for more. I would be honored to celebrate with you on one of the biggest days of your life.
