A topic of discussion that requires clarification is what qualifies a time for goat tying. While we try extra hard NOT to be super stringent as we want kids to learn with grace...but there are some things that must be done in order for the kids to learn correctly. Therefore, Using a pre-tied string or any device that removes the requirement of physically wrapping and knotting the string during the goat tie run will result in a no time. We really want to stress completing events as close to rodeo rules as possible while still allowing room to learn and grow.

Again, this is not the Jr NFR and we do not want a bunch of rule squabbling....we are there to allow the kids to have fun and guide them toward a more competitive venue. But laying a solid ground to launch from is also important

We are not sure if the ground will be worked or not for today's event! There has been some unfortunate mishaps taken place to the tractor that is typically used. Be prepared to adjust to an unworked ground.

We know many of our families are planning to attend the Ranch Rodeo in Mosquero on August 22, and we don't want anyone to have to choose between the two events. To give everyone the opportunity to participate, we've rescheduled our August Playday to August 29 at 4:00 PM. Books will open at 3:00PM. We look forward to seeing you there!
